Convenient Online/Virtual Therapy for Adults and Teens

Private Pay and Out-of-Network Rate: $175 per 55-60 minute session

In-Network Rate: Insurance plan dependent

Accepted insurance plans on an in-network basis: Aetna, Anthem BCBS of VA, BCBS of MA, CareFirst BCBS, Oscar Health, Oxford, and UHC.

I use Headway as my biller for clients using their in-network benefits.

If you do not have an abovementioned insurance plan or if you do not want to use your in-network benefits with these companies, you can easily access your invoices/Superbills via the client portal in CounSol. You can use this Superbill to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. The amount reimbursed depends upon your individual insurance plan. The goals of therapy include:

  • Getting to know yourself better.

  • Alleviating emotional pain and reducing the intensity of your symptoms.

  • Assisting you in developing a more complete understanding of your psychological issues.

  • Developing more effective coping mechanisms so when stress and symptoms occur, you can better handle them.

  • Honing your communication skills to effectively get your needs and desires met in relationships.

  • Fostering a more accurate understanding of your personal history and determining what you really want for your future.

Why should I choose virtual therapy over in-office therapy?

Advantages of Online Therapy

Reduced cost: With zero commute to a therapy office, you will save money on gas and will not have to waste valuable time driving to and from your appointment.

Comfort: You can skip making yourself presentable to go out in public and do not have to worry about who you may see while sitting in a waiting room in a therapy office. Wear your comfy pants, forgo applying makeup, and sit on your couch with your beloved fur baby.

Easier access: If you live in a more remote area of Virginia, you can still reap the benefits of a therapy session with me.

More consistent therapy: You will not have to miss your therapy session due to bad weather or minor sickness.

Save your PTO: For those of you with more strict bosses, you do not have to use sick or vacation leave to meet with me. You can participate in therapy during your lunch hour and still get back to work on time. You can meet with me from wherever you have a good internet connection and feel is private enough to maintain your confidentiality. Clients have successfully met me from their private work office, an empty conference room, and even from their parked cars.

Getting Started With Online Therapy

How it all works

Schedule a consultation call with me by emailing, texting, or calling me, Catherine Crowe, MA, LPC:

salientcounselingsolutions@gmail.com

571-252-9795

After you schedule your first session with me, I will create a user login for you to access my client portal (CounSol).

You will receive a welcome email from Salient Counseling Solutions with access to create a login in my client portal. Simply click the link in the email as directed and you will be guided through creating a username and password, filling out the intake paperwork, and entering your credit card information, all within CounSol’s HIPPA compliant, safe and secure client portal. This is to be done prior to your first therapy session and is standard practice, regardless of who you see for therapy. If you plan to use your Anthem BCBS, Aetna, or CareFirst BCBS insurance in-network benefits, you will also receive an welcome email from Headway as well. I use Headway as my biller for in-network insurance. They will require you to sign a couple of forms, enter your insurance information and a credit card into their secure, HIPPA compliant system. Your credit card will be charged whatever Headway shows as your copay/coinsurance or deductible. For your reference, Headway’s website is: https://headway.co/

The tool I currently use to meet with clients for therapy sessions is Doxy.me. It is free for clients and is very easy-to-use. It is HIPPA compliant and secure so you do not have to worry about your privacy. There is no need to download software or create a Doxy account. Just use a browser on a computer or device with a camera and microphone. To see the check-in steps, please click here: Doxy Client Check-in Steps. You will use the same link to attend every virtual therapy session with me: https://doxy.me/crowec.

After participating in your session, I will write a progress note in CounSol.

If you are a private pay or out-of-network client, after your therapy session, I will charge your credit card on file with me in CounSol. You can use the associated invoice in CounSol to submit for out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance company, if you so desire. This is explained more in depth in the intake paperwork. If you are an in-network client, I will update Headway indicating that your session has been completed and your card will be charged in their system.

Lastly, I will schedule your next therapy session in my CounSol calendar based upon what you and I decide on in your session. It is key to meet with me on a weekly or biweekly basis, at least at first, to get momentum going and assist you in reducing the severity of your symptoms.
